HOTEL LA MISION - Rivas

The mission of Rivas No. 2 of 14 hotels rated TripAdvisor, is a small historic hotel with large rooms and a pretty courtyard with birds and acoustic flowers. It is very safe to have locks on the large open bars and a bell button to call the staff quickly to unlock doors and buzzed. Best of all, it's very economical perhaps one third do one quarter of the price of No. 1 rated hotel in the city. Indeed, we as an old mission that I understand that it may have been in the beginning. But the property, although restored, has been owned by the family that lives next 100 years. As a retired lawyer, this stay has just been one of my most memorable. and it seems that most people know where Rivas is located behind the Catholic Church 2 d. Now I'm thinking of extending my stay for at least one more month (been here a week now) and I'm very happy with their affordability, personal how clean installation, the big long porches. At the end of the kitchen expect a nice breakfast area where each morning breakfast is included in the stay and where later I often plug in my laptop next to the router. I like to sit outside air patio area listening to the chatter of birds and the beauty of flowers and greens. not hungry until late afternoon for a snack and I bought fruit and vegetables to help you lose weight and make use of the kitchen (clean after me). The owner speaks perfect English and is a graduate of a university in the United States. Although the staff did not speak much English and my Spanish have no trouble communicating my needs seem to have an instinct to know what is. As for me although I will soon be my wife for a week, I chose the small room next to the kitchen and breakfast room. I have a bathroom, a double bed, TV with lots of channels (some of which offer more English films especially at night, and my A / C lights keeps me fresh when needed. When my wife arrives in a couple of holds You can keep this little room where the most attentive man Rivas allegedly lived for a long time or you could switch to one of the larger rooms for a week. Sometimes I need staff to help with your electrical system but are always so ready and willing to help. Allen now works during the day in his Mangoes Restaurant, which is one of the best in town and is only 3 blocks and next to the local museum, so you have my full recommendation to eat there. While my shower has a small hot water heater used in warmer climates Latin American countries, mine is unhooked. I have not applied for rehooked since I found acceptable water temperature -. Following the first minute, do not need a hot shower but most of the rooms have outlets for Americans. Most other rooms have extra beds and a family of five easily occupy most of them. One is on the top floor overlooking the large patio area and has a porch. My first night here, I met an American family that started there, but I moved to the table wrought iron patio where they share a cold bottle of quality wine with me. met several missionaries a holiday here and it seems that about half of the people spoke English, which includes a lot of Canadians. While Nicaragua's second safest Latin country concerned, Rivas is much safer than the rest of the country. $ 2 a shared taxi ride puts you in San Juan del Sur beach and costs $ 1 for the Nicaragua lake though 40 cents 5pm bus rides are an authentic experience. The ferry to Ometeppe is less than $ 3. However, this small hotel makes you feel local experience in a comfortable setting.
